Facebook

I just had to share this because it's soooo funny! A friend of mine posted this in her status on facebook:

"My youngest son decided to paint the toe nails of a maniquin(sp?)(bright orange) in a window display at the mall today, to teach him a lesson I went and bought nail polish remover to make him clean it up but of course the mess was too big for him to do by himself so I was on my hands and knees scrubbing the toes of this plastic lady in the store window...yes there were passer bys that thought it was pretty funny."

Like I said...HILARIOUS!!!

Sister's Don't let Sister's Wear Bad Shirts just because they are on Sale...

Okay before I start this little story let me just start out by saying...Shonda I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH! Please remember that. Okay now I can laugh my butt off! Ha, ha!

As the title reads, sister's don't let sister's wear bad shirts just because they are on sale. Tonight while I was at Shonda's house her friend and I were helping her pick out an outfit to wear to a wedding tomorrow. While I was there Shonda decided to show us a a shirt she got for only $4.95! The queen of sales! However, as her friend and I told her, just because it's on sale doesn't mean it's meant for her to purchase. So what did I do? I snuck it in my purse! Ha, ha!

Don't get me wrong, a bad shirt doesn't have to go to waste. There are many things you can do with a bad shirt...

You can blow your nose on it like a handkerchief...

You can clean your glasses with it...

Clean out your ears with it...

Wash the dishes with it...

Clean the mirrors with it...

Use it when you run out of toilet paper...

Clean the floors...

Dust...

Or better the environment by recycling it!

Oh but don't worry Shonda...I'll give you you're $5 back but on one condition. The next time you go shopping you take me and Laura with you! Ha, ha! Remember...I LOVE YOU!

Helping Shonda at work

Shonda, my lil' sis, is an LPN at a local nursing/assisted living facility. One day they were taking some of the residents for an outing to the local art museum to view the photographs of one of the residents named Jim.

This is Jim.

So me and Shonda's friend Shay helped out by pushing some of the residents in their wheel chairs to view the photos and art at the museum. As we were headed down stairs to leave we discovered Shay on the piano serenading some of the ladies! It was funny and Shay actually plays pretty good.

Below is Shay playing the piano and me trying to figure out what the person in the wheel chair I was pushing was trying to tell me.

Below is the group shot of all of us together.

Let me tell you, I was so proud to watch my little sis at work that day! She is so good at what she does! I loved to see how much she knew of each of her patients life history, how she got down on he knee just to hear what they said to her, how she snuck Kermit some extra ice cream and told him not to tell! Shonda is a great nurse and has such a big heart for the job! I am so proud of my little sister!

Lunch with Sherman again

Earlier this week my boss treated me, my co-worker and Sherman to lunch. We went to a delicious little sandwich place across the parking lot from the office! Even though we froze out rear ends off we walked over there. Because Sherman is blind I took his hand and walked with him leading him across the parking lot. He chose not to use his guide stick. He said it was because he wanted to hold my hand! We had a great time at lunch! On our way back to the office Sherman asked me if I had a blind person in the family. I told him no and asked him why he asked. He said, "Because you're so good at this! You're so thoughtful and attentive! If your husband ever decides that he doesn't want you anymore you tell him to call me!"
