Vote Mylan for President

When Mylan was in 1st grade he was in a performance about the presidents.
Mylan played George Washington.
His friend Britten played one of the narrators...
His friend Wyatt played a narrator too.
The kids sang songs about the presidents and went on stage to tell us about the president that they were playing.

The BIG 7

February 2007 was Mylan's 7nth Birthday Bash! This is the birthday boy himself looking very handsome!
We celebrated at the Bowling Alley. The party theme was from the Car's movie.
Mylan invited lots of friends!
These are a few friends from school...
Drake is one of his best friends...
Steve had a lot of fun! Think he's had too much sugar yet??
Grandma and Grandpa Baker were there. My mother, step-dad, Shonda and Mike and lots more friends and family.

Mylan and his friends bowled.
Then it was time for cake. That got a little messy!
After cake it was time for presents...Mylan's favorite part!
Our little man is growing up fast! Happy 7nth Birthday Mylan! We love you!

The Mummy

Fall of 2005.
One day Mylan and Sissy decided to play with the toilet paper. Sissy wrapped Mylan up in the toilet paper like a mummy! It was pretty funny! She went around and around
and around him until all of the toilet paper roll was gone.
Then Mylan ran around the house hollering and ripping the toilet paper off of him!
Sissy and I couldn't stop laughing! It ended up in a BIG mess but it was worth the giggles and the pictures!

Christmas 2006

Wow, how old in this picture? I actually have hair! Well longer hair anyway. Hmmm...I am guessing it was taken around Christmas of 2004. Mylan is so cute!
On Christmas Eve of 2006,
Larry and Mylan tracked Santa Clause and his Reindeer on the computer. It would give you Santa's exact location and when he was due to arrive at your house! So you'd better be asleep before Santa arrived.
Oh, but don't forget to leave some milk, cookies and a thank you note for Santa and his Reindeer! Mylan's note read: Thank you for the presents at my moms. I like the basketball goal."
Mylan got the Christmas gift he was just "dying to have".
An X-BOX 360!! I think that daddy (my hubby) was just as excited about the X-BOX because he plays it just as much if not more than Mylan does!

Mylan had a special gift for daddy!
It was a K-State Stocking cap! Daddy is a K-State football fan.
Mylan even had a special gift for me!
It was a beautiful necklace that reads: "I Love You"! I wear it all the time! It is very special!
Before breakfast, the boys were so excited about Christmas Day that they decided to dance!! Wow, nice moves boys!

Phew...When is break time?

Okay so I admit it...I am NOT Little Miss Betty Home Maker! I do try though. So don't I get some points for that?
My house is a wreck! I don't mean that it's just got a few things out of place. I mean that it has been declared a national disaster. Well...It feels like that to me anyway. I look around and feel overwhelmed to see all the work that needs to be done. Phew!
Besides the everyday, dreaded house chores, we've got some major work to do on our house. Of course it will take time. Like 5 or 10 years kind of time. Oh yeah, and it'll take money too. That darn money thing always gets in the way. My hubby and I bought our house July 2005. It's a "fixer upper" house. The house has a lot of potential! The neighborhood is quiet and very pretty with the tree lined streets.
When we fist moved in, there was only sub flooring in the Kitchen and dinning room. The living room carpet reeked of pet smells! Eww!
So we had new flooring put in.
Then there was the issue of the wallpapered living room. It looked horrible!
So we got to work. We removed a ton of wallpaper! There was three layers of wallpaper! That was hard work.
One night while my hubby was out with the guys, my sister and I decided that we would work on removing some of that wall paper. Well that turned into a big mess because I had gotten down to the dry wall and began removing the paper from that. My hubby wasn't very happy with me. He ended up having to do a lot of patching up on that section of the wall. He did an excellent job! No one would even know how much I tore it up by looking at it!
Last year, we replaced the drafty picture window in the living room. It made a huge difference! We no longer have to freeze our buns off in the winter!
We went about a year and a half before my husband had to drag me kicking and screaming to the store to buy some curtains for the living room windows. Besides the fact that I am indecisive, I also HATE to go shopping! I finally decided on red curtains. Oh and did I mention they were on clearance!
The backyard is a HUGE MESS!
We are trying to get the front yard in order before we even attempt the backyard. Oh boy, that backyard needs some major TLC!

Like I said, we've got some work to do on our little "fixer upper".
