Our friend Brian belongs to a photo club.
Last night he came to Mylan's game to try out his new lenses at night.

My D.A.V. Finds!!!

I just love to look around at the D.A.V, Goodwill or thrift stores when I have time. I can usually find something. Her are two on my finds from yesterday.

I found these decorative rooster/chicken plates for 95 cents each. My mother collects rooster items for her kitchen. My mother, Grandma and I like to collect decorative plates. I showed these to my Grandma and she thinks my mother would really like them. So I found these and I picked them up to save for a gift to give to my mother one day. I accidentally got two green plates though. I meant to get a red, green, yellow and blue one. I was at the D.A.V during my lunch hour so when I went back after work to get the blue one the plates were already snatched up. Oh well, I might look on-line to see about finding the blue one. The company that makes then is on the back of the plates. I also wanted to get a second set for my co-worker since she liked them so much. I could save them for our office Christmas get-together. She also has roosters in her kitchen.

This is my favorite find though! Larry's step-mom has one just like it in her bathroom and I've always admired it when I was at their house. It is an old Avon bath oil bottle. I got it for 3 bucks. It is glass. It is a turquoise, cream and white swirly color. It has a rose on both sides and the lid is a rose too.

A Wedding Day Story

Larry and I married August 13, 2005 in Eureka Spring AR at the Thorncrown Chapel.

The Thorncrown Chapel was beautiful! It is located in the Ozark Mountains. It is 48 feet tall with over 425 windows, over 6,000 sq feet of glass! Check out the photo gallery at: www.thorncrown.com

This is Larry and I.

This is our little family. I am a step-mom of two. Alisha and Mylan. At the time I was 25, Larry was 32, Alisha was 14, Mylan was 5.

We had help from a few family members and friends: Nathaniel (my brother)and Mike (Shonda's boyfriend) were our greeters for the guests. Rebecca (my little sis) handed out the programs and maps to the guests.

The Dress Hunt:
Before a girl finds the right dress there is always a few dress disasters. I knew I wanted something simple and not poofy. However, you should always try on the ones you think you may not like just in case you do like them better after all. It's not easy being a girl.

We placed a few disposable cameras on the tables for guests to take random pictures for us. These are a few of the pictures that our guests took.

Larry is getting the garter off my leg for the garter toss. I can't remember who caught it though. I just remember being embarrassed and worried that my dress would be pulled up too far up my leg!
