Handy Man

Our guest bathroom has been out of order for some time now. So Larry and I finally got our act together and fixed the toilet. It was a simple problem really...the wax ring.

Before a manly-man begins to fix anything...he needs his manly tools.

Gross. This was under the toilet after Larry took it off. That wax ring is disgusting!

What is that?

I have no idea what this is. It looks lot like a giant peach pit with little red beans growing on it. I found it in the yard during our funeral service for Romo. Your guess is as good as mine.

Romo the hamster passed away. So we held a funeral service.

Mylan dug the grave...

We placed Romo in the best casket we had...

Then Mylan gently placed Romo in the grave...

Mylan said, "Goodbye Romo, Goodbye Cream Cheese."

We realized that Romo needed a headstone so Mylan made her one...

And placed in it's proper place.

Hi. My name is Busy.

Every year Mylan has a Halloween Party. This year it is his Third Annual Halloween Party. Larry and I invite a few of our closest friends who have little ones and Mylan invites five of his school friends. In the past I have organized activities for the kids to do at the party, however, this year Mylan has requested that I don't do that because it embarrasses him. I guess he's getting to that age where certain things that parents do embarrass him. Mylan and I have already decorated our party room and I have been working away at getting our treats baked. The only things left to do tomorrow is finish up the treats and clean the house. A full day ahead. This year we are working with a limited budget so we have scaled down our food menu a lot more than last year and we also reused last years decorations. But the kids will never notice because all they care about in candy and party time. I will definatly plan better next year. Last but not least, it's time to party!

Ahhh! Cupcake Chaos!

While my boys are away at a Derby Football game I am busy baking the treats for Mylan's Halloween Party tomorrow night. However, I am having a little trouble. I am trying to make orange colored icing for the cupcakes and it's not working! It looks more like pink! AHHH! I know, I know, yellow and red makes orange but how much yellow and how much red?! Oh well I'll figure it out eventually. Hopefully I'll figure it out before I run out of food coloring though...just kidding!

Busy Bee

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been pretty busy. I have a full time job, a part time job, a household and family to care for and I also help my mother and grandmother out during the week. So as you can see I'm a busy girl. This week I am getting ready for Mylan's 3rd Annual Halloween Party which takes place on Saturday. Wish me luck, I'll have a household full of of kids!
