Happy Birthday Larry!

September 24th was Larry's 35th Birthday! That night we went to his mother's house for dinner and cake. We had delicious meats from the Rib Crib, KFC biscuits, mac-n-cheese, fried okra, mash potatoes and of course the birthday cake which I made!

Mylan made Larry a card

and a framed photo of Mylan and Sissy at a football game.

Mylan thought the butter cream icing on the birthday cake smelled good so he leaned in for a better sniff and apparently got a little too close! Oops!

Time for the birthday boy to blow out his candles!

Here is Grandma Sue and Grandpa Woody enjoying their meal and cake!

And here is my silly boys!

Our little sports fanatic

Besides baseball, Mylan is also playing soccer this Fall. He really wanted to try out football this Fall but he waited til it was too late to tell us. So soccer it was.

Here is our little sports fanatic.

Can you tell which one is Mylan in these pics?

After the game the kids get some snacks. Mylan chills out while eating his snack and talking with Dad, Mom, me and Grandma Sue.

Fall Baseball 2008

Mylan has started Fall baseball with his team. The boys are now playing kid pitch. Fall baseball is mainly to get the boys some experience with kid pitch baseball. Our team is playing again 9 and 10 yr old boys who have already had a season's experience of kid pitch. Some far this Fall we've only gotten to play one game because of all the rain we've had. However, we didn't that bother us because our boys whooped some booty! 18-6! Yeah! Mylan was catcher, his favorite position. He rocked! He even got a kid out on home that was trying to steal! It was a close call but he did great! He was so proud of himself and so were we! Here are a few snap shots.

Mylan gets a few tips from the catcher's coach - Larry aka Dad.

Here are a few snap shots of Mylan at practice before the game.

Kid pitch baseball is much fun! It's so exciting. The coach now gives the boys hand signals so that they know what the coach wants them to do such as steal a base or something. The catchers also give the pitcher hand signals so that they know what pitch to throw. It's so much fun!

Funny Skeleton

Mylan's Grandma Sue gave him this skeleton refrigerator magnet. We already had the baseball, ball cap, and ball glove magnets. Mylan likes to more it around so that the skeleton is posing doing different baseball moves: throwing, catching... We never know what the skeleton will be doing next.

What happens when I'm not looking

Today while upstairs cleaning and organizing to my hearts content, little did I know that, downstairs all chaos was breaking loose! I could all kinds of noise and laughing going on. When I came downstairs, this is what I found.

I am not sure what this is exactly...

Then I found the boys doing this...

Huh, boys!

Cookie Thieves!

The Bait...

The Thieves.
