Little Romo

Mylan got a cute little present from Santa...a long-haired teddy bear hamster. She is gray and white. Mylan seems to really like her although they need to bond and get to know each other more. He likes to put Romo in her little run-about ball and play with her. Every morning we give her a little treat (apple slice, sunflower seeds or a vegetable). So far we have only given her apples and she seems to really like them. She will rush down and take it from your hand and then run off to eat it. She practically devours them. She is also very weird because in her cage, she has a nesting house, but she doesn't use it. She will take a bunch of bedding and food up to her wheel and build a nest there. She sleeps in it all day and then at night she will run in her ball while all the bedding a food clanks around as she is running. It's quite entertaining!

The Holiday's

The holiday's for our family have been busy.

Saturday December 22nd, we had my family members over for an untraditional potluck dinner. There was 13 of us: Larry, Myself and Mylan, Mom and Pat, Bud, Posha and Val, Uncle Snuffy, Shonda and Michael, Mema and Papa. We had dinner, conversation and exchanged a few gifts.

Sunday December 23rd, I had to work from 11am to 3pm. Larry and Mylan dropped me off at work and later picked me up so that we could go straight to Uncle Rusty's house. We had soup, conversation and a kids gift exchange.

Santa Claus came to our house later that night because he knew that Mylan was at our house for Christmas Eve and at mommy's house for Christmas Day. Santa Claus knows everything. Mylan got a hamster from Santa Claus. He named her Romo after the Dallas Cowboys Quarterback. She's really cute! Later that day we went to my mother-in-law's house. We had a hoggie sandwiches and other goodies, conversation, and exchanged a few gifts. Alisha was there and it was nice to see her.

Christmas Day was a day for just me and Larry. It was nice. We saw a movie, National Treasure, and went to dinner at the Fox and the Hound. I didn't think the food was all that great. We saw a guy there who looked just like actor Seth Green. Weird.

Guess who called Mylan??

Mylan got a phone call...from Santa Claus! Really! Santa Claus called!! Mylan thought it was so awesome! When Santa called Mylan was in the shower. I ran upstairs and told Mylan to get out of the shower for a few minutes so that he could talk to Santa Claus. At first Mylan didn't believe me until I turned off the water. Then he was thrilled. He talked to Santa for about 5 mins. Later, after he finished his shower he couldn't stop talking about his phone conversation with Santa!!

Christmas Parties

Well it's that time of year. Lot's of family gatherings, Christmas parties, mailing out/receiving of Christmas cards, eating way too much delicious food... fun, fun, fun!

Last night, Larry and I went to our Annual Christmas Gathering. Larry has a circle of friends that he's grown up with and each year we take turns having our Christmas gathering at each others house. So last night was our 2007 gathering. I made Roman Noodle Salad and Chocolate pie to contribute to the dinner. The salad turned out pretty good but my pie didn't. The pie never set up like it should. So we re-named it "pudding pie".

Our friends, Ryan and Richelle, recently had a baby boy. He is now 4 weeks old. Guess what?! I got to hold him for an hour!! He is so adorable. He slept most of the time. When he was awake he would stretch his neck out like a little turtle and lift his little head to see what was around him. I could've held him all night!

Here is the recipes that I made:

Broccoli and Ramen Noodle Salad
Serves 10

1 2/3 (16oz) pkg broccoli coleslaw mix (or regular coleslaw mix)
3 1/4 (3oz) pkg chicken flavor ramen noodles
1 2/3 bunches greens onions-chopped
1 2/3 c almond slivers
1 2/3 c sunflower seeds
3/4 c and 1 Tbsp and 1 tsp white sugar
1/3 c and 1 Tbsp and 1 tsp virgin oliver oil (or vegetable oil)
1/2 c and 1 Tbsp cider vinegar

Directions:
-In a large bowl, combine the slaw, broken noodles and green onions.

-Whisk together the sugar, oil, vinegar and ramen seasoning packets. Pour over salad and toss to evenly coat. Refrigerate until chilled, top with almonds and sunflower seeds before serving.

Chocolate Pie
Serves 8

1 (9in) pie crust, baked
3/4 c white sugar
1/4 c all-purpose flour
1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1 c milk
3 eggs yolks, beaten
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp butter or margarine, melted

Directions:
-In a medium micro-wave safe bowl, combine sugar, flour and cocoa. Mix well. While stirring, slowly pour in milk. Mix until smooth.

-Microwave cocoa mixture in 1 minute increments, stirring after each increment. Continue until mixture thickens, about 7 minutes.

-Slowly pour egg yolks into cocoa mixture, whisking rapidly until yolks are incorporated. Stir in vanilla extract and butter or margarine. Pour filling into baked pie shell. Chill before serving. Store in fridge.

Christmas Traditions and Store Bought Cookies

Every year we bake homemade chocolate chip cookies and decorate the tree for Christmas. It's become a holiday tradition for our family. Although there is something you need to know about me. I am not the world's best baker. I am a terrible cook but I can bake pretty good most of the time. However, tonight was NOT my night. My chocolate chip cookies turned out to be more like "chocolate chip pancakes". I have no idea what I did wrong and this has happened to me on more than one occasion. So I ended up having to go to the store to buy store bought cookie dough. Oh well, it's better than no cookies right?! Larry handed me $6.00 and said, "Buy as much cookies as you can for $6.00." So I did. I knew that the total was going to be close to $6.00 but I didn't know for sure. So I grabbed the cookie dough and I walked up to the cashier and said, "Well I've got $6.00 and I'm not sure if that'll cover it but we'll find out." She rang them up and I needed 8 more cents. So I rummaged around in my purse for some changed. It figures that the day I need my change is the day I don't have it on me. So I say to the cashier, "Oh well, I'll just go and put one roll back." She says not to put it back because she has a quarter in her pocket. I tell her thank you. Then she says, "Here I'll even let you keep the change." She hands it to me, we laugh, I say thank you and leave. On the way out the door I put the change in the "bell ringers" bucket. When I got home I explained to Larry what happened and we carry on with our Christmas tradition. Later I decided to bake some cookies for the kind cashier. I decided to give her a Christmas card to go with the cookies. In my card I explained our family tradition, said thank you, and taped a quarter on the inside of the card. I then told Larry that I was going to take the cashier some cookies and a card to say thank you. Larry giggled about it and thought I was silly, I guess. Oh well, in my opinion there are too few "Thank You's" being said these days. Tara, the cashier, was VERY SURPRISED! I caught her off guard as she was talking with her co-workers. I handed her the tin of cookies along with the card and explained that they were for her to say thank you for her kindness. She smiled really big and said thank you as her face turned red. Sorry Tara I didn't mean to make you turn red. Oops. I drove by the store as I left the parking lot and saw her still smiling as she read my card aloud to her co-workers. So maybe a simple "thank you" was all that may have been necessary for Tara giving me a quarter but sometimes it feels good to go out of your way just to say thank you. Who knows that may be something that Tara will take to heart and pass along to someone else. Have you ever seen that movie called "Pay It Forward"? It's all about kindness. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

Black Friday

Today I went shopping with my mother-in-law. Shopping with her is like shopping with the energizer bunny! No kidding! It's so much fun though. She picked me up at 3:30am! Phew! First stop: JCPenny. It was a mad house! I even saw people there with their children...little children. Yikes! I feel sorry for those people. Up next: Dicks Sporting Goods. That was a quick stop though with no lines. Can you believe it?! Next: Wal-Mart. We drove to Wal-Mart and then turned right around! We decided it wasn't worth going in there...Yikes! 6am. Next: Panera Bread for some breakfast. We each had a Souffle, a hot drink, and split a bagel. Yummy! Then we decided to brave JCPenny again because we discovered I grabbed the wrong sized kitchen item that she wanted. Good thing she checked her receipts. Once we exchanged the right items and pick up a few more items, we decided to brave the rest of the mall. We headed to Dillards. I was surprised to see just how empty it was in there. There was hardly any "crazy shoppers" running around. We stopped in the food court for another hot drink before heading to a few other stores in the mall. On our way home we decided to stop by Michael's Craft Store to check out what they had on sale. We didn't go there with anything in mind but we certainly left with a "few" items. After that we went next door to Slumberland Furniture to check out a table that she had her eye on, but changed her mind in the end. We finally ended up at home around 11:30am or so. Phew! What a day and a lot of fun!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today we went to my mother-in-laws house for Thanksgiving. We ate a ton of food that we'll be working off until the end of next year! Oh, I am sooo full! I love to eat though! Yum! Oh and get this, my mother-in-law is trying to "train" me. She actually gave me an assignment! Yeah, an assignment. For a whole year I am supposed to figure out what I want to bring to Thanksgiving next year. She said to cook something that I am good at. Cook?! Me cook?! That word isn't even in my vocabulary! Oh boy, I've got work to do! So the plan is to make potato casserole or corn casserole. I have a plan though, I am going to shock everyone by making both! Yes, I will make two casseroles! I can do this and I have a whole year to perfect it. So...please pray for me. I need all the help I can get. Tomorrow I am going shopping with my-mother-in-law. She is like the energizer bunny. It's hard to keep up with her when she is shopping but it's always fun. I don't have any shopping to do tomorrow so it'll be all her shopping that needs to be done. Wish me luck...she's picking me up at 4am! Yikes!

That's a lot of leaves!!

Phew! Oh boy is my back is sore. We have a lot of trees in our neighborhood. I mean a lot! Today larry and I raked the front yard. It was completely covered in leaves. We ended up with 16 bags full of leaves! Just as we were finishing up the last bag our neighbor came over and said, "Man you guys are making me tired just watching you. I thought you guys could use a cold drink." That was so nice of her to think of us!

Weekend fun

Last weekend Mylan and I went to the school playground. We also found an outdoor classroom and wandered the trails. We had a good time but poor Larry was stuck at work and couldn't join us.

Update

Well our computer is getting old. Down to it's last legs. Larry has been having to clean it out over and over. So he has taken off my "picture stuff". So at the moment I am unable to post any pics to show off. We hope to get a computer soon. We'll see. So please bare with me and I will let you know when I have new pics posted.

Missing teeth

Out little man is growing up so fast! He has two loose teeth! Both in the front, one on top and one on the bottom. The top one is sooooo loose! I bet he'll lose it in the next few days!

Silly

Mylan got this toy in an Arby's kids meal. It is a fake spilled milkshake. You know, kind of like the rubber barf. Well we keep placing the spilled milkshake is various places around the house. Then we fuss at each other to clean up our mess of spilled milkshake. Silly, I know, but we have fun!

One time I found a big bug that was dead and in perfect condition (It wasn't squished). So I put the icky bug in a little plastic bag. It became a game to us by trying to scare each other by placing it in various places like in a coat pocket, in the bed under the pillow or under the covers or in bathroom drawers! It was so fun because there was a few times that it really did freak me out!

Gotta love it!

The "R" Word

The word "retirement" has sure been coming up a lot lately at work. I don't like it. It's become a bad word to me. Why is retirement a bad word? Because it is my boss who is talking about it. This year he turned 66. He is the BEST boss I have ever had! I mean, sure we get on each others nerves occasionally, but that's to be expected. I am his only full time employee so the poor guy is stuck with me all week long! I have been there 4 years now. That's the longest I have been at any dental office. My co-worker has been there for 20 years now. That's got to say something about the office. When patients ask when he plans to retire he always replies, "When my winning lottery ticket comes in." My boss knows that I don't like that word. When a patient asks him about it my boss tells them jokingly, "Don't talk about it, she gets upset." Now, my boss has never said that he is going to retire, but I do know that it is sneaking up on us. I am not worried about finding another job, I am worried about finding another boss. I dread that part.

On the Move...well sort of.

The only thing that I don't like about our house is OUR BEDROOM. It has such an awkward shape and the two windows are in the dumbest place. There isn't a good place to put the bed so that you can easily move around the room. I think the bed is too bulky for the room size anyway. I don't know, maybe a bed with one of those iron frames would be less bulky. So last night I decided, for the third time since we've moved into our house, to try the bed in a different place. As you can see it partially covers the window. I put the bed on the other side of our room which is farthest from the bedroom and bathroom door. We like where it is except that it partially covers the window and is too close to the closet. Oh yeah, and have you noticed the hideous wall paper? Yuck! We haven't gotten that far yet on the home improvements. I'm waiting to win the lottery so that we can make some additions onto the house for a master suite! Shhh...don't tell Larry.

Mylan's 2nd Annual Halloween Party

Every year Mylan has a Halloween Party at our house. He talks about it all year long. He invites 5 of his friends and my hubby and I invited our friends who have little kids. In our house, we don't allow all that typical gross and horrifying Halloween stuff. So most of our decorations are spiders, webs, pumpkins and handmade decorations. Since Mylan is a boy and boys like gross things we make up for that by having creepy, gross fun foods and he helps me make most of the decor. We use our back room for the main party area. Last year we decorated it with lots of spider webs and a few pumpkins. We used a plastic spider web table cloth and hung it up over the doorway and then cut it into strips. The littler kids thought it was fun to walk through. We also played games: Monster Freeze Dance and Mummy Wrap. This year the party will be October the 13th. I'll let you know how it goes and I'll try to take lots of pics. Last year I didn't take any pictures because I forgot to. I got so busy trying to make sure the party went smooth and everything was under control. We had a million kids running around last year but most of the moms stayed and helped while the dads hung out in the garage.

A Busy Saturday

This morning our little guy woke me up at 6 am! Eek! I am NOT a morning person! Especially at 6 am on a Saturday morning! I woke up to these little hands feeling around in the dark and a little voice saying, "Daddy?" I reminded him that Daddy had to work this morning and asked what he needed. He told me that he didn't feel good. I suggested that he try to go back to sleep. So he crawled into bed with me. Not even five minutes goes by and he tells me again that he does not feel well. Then he takes off running to the bathroom. Half asleep I try to find my way into the bathroom to check on him. I find him sitting on his step stool with his head over the toilet. I ask him what his tummy feels like and he tells me that he just thinks that he is hungry. That would make sense because he didn't eat much of his dinner the night before. So I make him some peanut butter toast and a glass of ice water (I wasn't going to risk him throwing up his usual glass of milk. Yuck!). So he curls up in a blanket at the coffee table and eats his toast with no problem at all and watches cartoons. I go back to sleep for another hour and wake up to hear him running at full speed into the bedroom (I figure he must be feeling better.) asking if he can play '2K7 MLB' or some thing like that (an XBox360 game).

Later, we head out for his soccer game. Although he can't participate in the game he still wore his jersey and went out to support his team. His mom is one of the assistant coaches, so he ended up helping her coach leaving me to sit all alone on the bench. But I didn't mind, it's all a part of being the fabulous step-mom that I am. Not to toot my own horn or anything!

Then it was time to go to my hubby's yearly work picnic which was being held at the zoo this year! We had a lot of fun! I love to go to the zoo! It brings out the kid in me I guess. It's probably a sight to see me and the little guy running ahead of my hubby to the next site. We can't help it, we are just so excited to see what's next! It was a bummer that I forgot my camera though because we saw lots of cool animals doing lots of cute things! Luckily I got two pictures on my camera phone just before the battery went dead. Oops, I am terrible about charging that thing up.
The hippos were huge! Although, the sign read "Don't feed the animals!", a little girl gave the hippos some grass and I couldn't help but to snap a picture of this hippo with it's mouth wide open. Being in the dental field, I couldn't help but to suggest some Crest White Strips to him but the hippo didn't seem to care!
The little Prairie Dogs were so cute too! They looked so cuddly! They were so funny because they would communicate by one of them popping up and making this squeaking noise and then pop back down only to see another one pop up and make the same noise and then several more did the same thing. It's was pretty neat to watch them doing that. I caught a picture of this little guy through the glass wall because he had his hole right there next to it.

My favorite part of the zoo is the monkeys and gorillas. The gorillas were all asleep so they weren't much fun. The monkeys were all asleep too, except for one. This particular monkey was really funny! At first he wiped a few "eye boogers" from his eyes and began to smell it. After that he dug in his nose for a nice juicy booger and then ate it! Eww! As if that wasn't enough, he did it several more times! Then he started playing with an old torn up t-shirt. He had his arm stuck in the t-shirt and had a hard time getting it off. Once he got it off of his arm he got it around his neck like a necklace and just kept spinning it around and around and around his neck like he was looking for the end of it. He was pulling on it so hard that it finally broke and he ended up throwing it on the ground. Once he threw it on the ground he climbed down off of the platform he was on and began peeing on the ripped t-shirt. We couldn't stop laughing! Then he picked up and few pieces of carrots and ate them.

After the zoo, we went to the store to buy me a new pair of tennis shoes and my hubby and polo shirt. I hate shopping! We were there much too long for my comfort! From there we went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner.

It was a good day with my boys!

What's in store for the weekend?

Since our little guy is out of commission for his weekend sports activities my boys have gone to a high school football game tonight. Which leaves me all alone. It's kind of nice to have the house to myself. So...I have pigged out on Doritos (yummy!), watched what ever I wanted to watch on tv (no sports), done the laundry and the dishes. In a few minutes I plan to take a nice hot bath but the only problem is that my current book is in the car that the boys took. A bath just isn't the same without a good book. Oh man!

Saturday, my hubby has to work (as usual) so the little guy and I plan to go to his soccer game to cheer on his team even though he can't play. Later, after my hubby gets home, we plan to go to the zoo for my hubby's yearly work picnic! Fun, fun!

Sunday, my hubby has a soft ball game and the little guy is going to go and watch. While they do that I will be at church teaching Sunday school. I asure you, this is not something we make a habit by allowing our child to skip out on church. Then we all plan to go to JCPenny's because I need a new pair of shoes since mine are now falling apart. Then we are off to support our little guy's baseball team even though he can't play in that either. By Monday he'll be okay by the doc to play again. We just need to be sure that his pulled muscle is healed up properly.

Trying to keep up

Our little guy has been practicing his baseball skills non-stop. Now he has a pulled muscle in his chest. The doctor said that he can't do sports or outdoor recess for 5-7 days. He is not happy about it at all. He takes his sports very seriously. He is now playing in a baseball scrimmage on Sundays and has soccer games on Saturdays. Busy, busy.

Mylan calls me out

Today we had baseball practice. I really don't like to get outside in the dirt and heat and practice baseball but I go with minimal complaining because Mylan loves it when I do. We played catch (I throw horrible. My aim is way off), the boys played soft toss, Mylan played catchers position while Larry pitched, then Mylan hit while I played out field, then Larry tried me out in pitching so that he could watch Mylan's swing timing better. My pitching only frustrated everyone because I can't aim right and I was so afraid that I'd hit Mylan with the ball. So that was the end of that. Then we did Mylan's favorite activity. He plays catchers position while Larry stands at shortstop and I stand at third base. Larry drops the ball which symbolizes that the ball has been hit. I take off running while Larry throws it to Mylan and he has to tag me out. Although it is his favorite activity, it is my least favorite. Larry would ask him if he wanted to stop and I would nod "YES, YES!" and Mylan would say, "No" and then says to me, "Your just being lazy." So I've been called out. He caught me, I'm lazy! It was funny to hear him say it though.

Labor Day Weekend

This has been a very lazy weekend.

Friday, I did some mad house cleaning and laundry while the boys played Xbox and did boy stuff.

Saturday night, Mylan and I set up the tent in the back room and had a sleep over. We goofed around making farting noises and played shadow puppets! I didn't sleep very well though because he slept walked twice and the floor was so uncomfortable.

Today, Sunday, Larry did the yard work while Mylan and I went for a walk and explored some bicycle trails and played at the park. Then Larry and Mylan played football in the front yard. Me? I did nothing today.

Mylan has started playing soccer. He is so excited! He loves to play soccer. He has practice Tuesday and Thursday nights and on Sunday he will be doing a scrimmage baseball game with some older boys for the next 6 weeks. Our neighbor, John, sponsors a baseball team and has been watching Mylan and Larry practicing in the front yard. He thinks Mylan is pretty good and talked to the coach about Mylan trying out for their team. Mylan typically plays the catcher position, which he loves. However, The kids are older and bigger than Mylan. So they wanted to have him play in a scrimmage for 6wks. Mylan is thrilled to play with the older boys. I think he is a little nervous but hasn't really shown that yet. My hubby has been telling him over and over again that it is just for fun and that no matter what he doesn't want Mylan to get frustrated or discouraged and that no matter what he will be proud of Mylan. Either way, it will be a good experience for Mylan that not a lot of kids his age get to experience.

Lookout people, our boy will be playing in the big leagues one day! Get your autographs here! Hey...what can I say, I am a proud a parent!!

Oh Well...

Well, turns out that my hubby has his work picnic the day of the run and Kelli's son has a football game that day too. So the run isn't going to work out. The plus side is that I have at least gotten my butt of the coach and started some what of a work out routine. So we'll see if I can keep it up.

Monday, August 27, 2007

Oh Boy...

My friend Kelli wants me to run in this 1 mile thing with her on September 15th. I said I would but I AM REALLY OUT OF SHAPE! I have been procrastinating (for 2 weeks) about getting into good enough shape to at least make this run without dieing before I get to the finish line. Kelli told me that running around the high school track 4 times was approximately 1 mile. So tonight I decided to give it a try and see how far I could make it around the track. I walked the track first. You know, a little warm up. Then I begin to jog, and jog, huff and puff, jog and jog some more. You won't believe it but I made it around that track 1 whole time! Barely. I didn't realize how badly out of shape I was. I felt like my heart was in my throat by the time I reached the end of the track. My legs were shaky and my tummy felt a little sick. Well I guess I'll try again tomorrow and see if I can get any further. Wish me luck.

Goofy

Yeah, I know...I'm silly. We were slow at work so I decided to mess around with my camera phone. I tried to make it look like I was getting my tooth pulled. I thought I pulled it off quite nicely! Tee-hee!

Crazy about Sports

Since our little man was born with the "crazy about sports" gene he really didn't have much of a choice. He was born into it. I blame it on his dad. My boys are both crazy about sports! They eat, sleep, and dream about sports!
He is into Baseball...
Soccer...
Basketball...
and Golf.
He also likes football but hasn't played yet. However, my boys enjoy taking a "boys only" trip to a K-State football game.
One time our little guy got to be on the Wrangler's Dream Team! Cool!
That was such a fun day!

Our little adventure

Today after church and lunch me, Mylan, and Larry went to the ball field to do a little baseball practice. Mylan did very well today! He was hitting well, throwing well, and catching well!
Mylan plays the catcher position. He really enjoys it. This surprised us because under all of the gear he is dripping with sweat and NEVER complains about it. However, he is smart enough that if he's getting too hot he does speak up and ask to be switched out. WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM!! For some reason Mylan likes for me to go out and practice with them. To be honest with you, I DO NOT LIKE THE HEAT. Mylan knows this because he'll say, "Come on Ashlyne, don't be afraid of a little sweat!" Then he'll give me big hugs and tons of kisses and say, "Will you please come and practice with us. You're such a good out fielder!" Now how can I resist that?! After practice is over Mylan likes for me to bat. I am a terrible batter. It's embarrassing! But I am having fun with my boys and that's all that matters. Larry will pitch to me and Mylan will field. Mylan in always cheering me on though. When I swing badly he'll hang his head down and shake it. Larry is Mylan's coach and Mylan in my coach. I think he enjoys teaching me!

On our way home we decided to stop at these trails that we drive by all the time. Mylan and I have always been curious to see where they lead to. Larry used to ride his bike on them as a kid. We came to a few dead ends and a few GIGANTIC spider webs! Yuck! We ended up finding a bike down at the bottom of a big ditch. Mylan and I convinced daddy to climb down there to get it.
It's a pretty cool bike! It needs a few things fixed on it though: flat tires, loose handle bars, a tear in the seat. I ended up having to ride it home because it wouldn't fit in the trunk. That was a funny sight! We ended up turning it in to the police. It just felt like the right thing to do.

WHBC Garage Sale

Last year, with the help of my mom, I organized our church garage sale. My mom has organized a few garage sales at her church. I decided to split the money that we made among all of the children's Sunday school teachers to use for whatever they need for their classrooms: supplies, prizes, decor. I teach 3rd, 4th and 5th grade Sunday school.
The garage sale was a lot of work though! Luckily I had the help of my church family.
Last year we held the garage sale on a Saturday only. This year we are going to have it on a Friday and a Saturday. Among all of the garage sale items we found a Mr. T and Curious George doll. So we decided to have a little fun with them.
I decided to put on the "Darell the Barrel" costume from last year's vacation Bible school and go outside to draw some attention to our sale. It was so much fun!
We even sold hot dogs, chips, pop and water.
We didn't price anything. The money we made was strictly donations. We did price the large furniture items though. We ended up making about $600.

Vote Mylan for President

When Mylan was in 1st grade he was in a performance about the presidents.
Mylan played George Washington.
His friend Britten played one of the narrators...
His friend Wyatt played a narrator too.
The kids sang songs about the presidents and went on stage to tell us about the president that they were playing.

The BIG 7

February 2007 was Mylan's 7nth Birthday Bash! This is the birthday boy himself looking very handsome!
We celebrated at the Bowling Alley. The party theme was from the Car's movie.
Mylan invited lots of friends!
These are a few friends from school...
Drake is one of his best friends...
Steve had a lot of fun! Think he's had too much sugar yet??
Grandma and Grandpa Baker were there. My mother, step-dad, Shonda and Mike and lots more friends and family.

Mylan and his friends bowled.
Then it was time for cake. That got a little messy!
After cake it was time for presents...Mylan's favorite part!
Our little man is growing up fast! Happy 7nth Birthday Mylan! We love you!
